After years of avoiding my Disneyland Feels playlist in Spotify, I can finally play it in my car again today and sing freely to the songs I once loved so much.
It feels good to realize that I’m healing from that phase of my life for such a long time. Even something as small as Disney songs used to trigger memories, so I avoided them for a long time. But one day, I just woke up and found that I could listen to them again without those memories weighing on me.
And that’s when I know I am healing.
